    Perform vendor and supplier quality inspections in conjunction with the QA and sourcing departments.

    Tasks & Responsibilities
    Ensure that Plant Engineering is fully integrated and optimized by coordination of the Design Reviews and that the requirements of safety policies are fulfilled.
    Complete knowledge of the customer specification and related contract documents. Ensure that all civil interfaces are coordinated with the customer.
    Ensure that all systems & components arriving at site are complete & consistent with Plant Engineering & in proper condition for assembly, integration & commissioning, having met the technical conditions & quality.
    Ensure that all engineering work, including the engineered components, is coordinated and completed within the scheduled milestones of the Contract.
    Contribute to the short and long term objectives of the Engineering group for process improvements and standardization.
    Coordinate the delivery to and approval of project documents to the customer and consultant.

    Candidate Requirements
    Graduate engineer of accredited school with a BSME or BSEE degree.
    The candidate is required to have a good knowledge of an Electrical Power Generation plant, preferably a hydropower plant and its auxiliary systems and components, have demonstrated successfully experience in design, calculations, analysis, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, piping systems and/or electrical systems.
    Specific knowledge of cabling systems, high voltage bus, motor control centers, power distribution systems, medium voltage switchgear and instrumentation is required. Professional Engineering License is desirable.
    10 years in design and related areas such as equipment commissioning in the power producing industry. Specific experience with Balance of Plant electrical and/or Balance of Plant mechanical is desired.
    Travel is required to coordinate buy-out items with suppliers, to attend technical meetings with customers and to support field installation/commissioning activities.

    Interface with other Engineering departments (Generator, Turbine, Governor & Automation, etc.) to optimize integration of Balance of Plant systems into the project.
    Attend meetings with the customer to explain work scope and performance.
    Prepare 3D plant models as needed for interaction of all Turbine, Generator, Automation and BOP Equipment into a functional design compatible with the plant civil design.
    Assisting Field operations with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Perform research and make recommendations to resolve non-conforming conditions, out of tolerance conditions, process improvements and procurement of testing components and equipment.

    Summary:
    Under the supervision of lead designer(s) /engineer(s), the individual will perform basic calculations and will prepare 2D drawings and 3D models.

    ssential Duties:
    1. Communicates and coordinates effectively with design Engineers and Civil Designers to maintain proper standards throughout the assigned projects.
    2. Prepares 3D models of grading and generate 2D drawings using the models as reference files.
    3. Prepares detailed alignments and profiles for existing and proposed digital elevation models.
    4. Must be able to download survey data, compile points and develop base plans and surfaces/ digital elevation models from the survey data.
    5. Prepare site grading and storm water drainage plans.
    6. May be required to assist in field surveys.
